THE CATS' VIEW

My name is Georgina Drummond and I have been breeding Maine Coons for more than 13 years. I fell in love with the breed for its wild, natural look and I aim to produce cats which are big and strong looking with the breed's intelligent, friendly and outgoing temperament.
My 'foundation queen' was an import from the Coonyham cattery in California - Grand Champion Coonyham Praline, a big, shaggy brown tabby and white girl with a strong head and tall ears with flashy lynx tips. She was mated to Ch. Brocstar Toffee Tufts, a heavy boned cream male with excellent type and a pedigree combining Continental with older UK lines. The mating produced Ch. Lynxelot Midnight Lancer (brown tabby) and Ch. Lynxelot Romilly (tortie), two superb cats with long, powerful bodies and strong heads with the square look of the breed. They have been the basis of my breeding programme.
Of my seven current breeding queens five are descended from either Lancer or Romilly, while my stud boy Facey is Romilly's grandson and combines my original lines with an outstanding Austrian pedigree. This line breeding over several generations, combine with careful selection of other pedigrees, has produced a recognisable 'look' of heavily built, strongly muzzled cats with a powerful presence. In terms of health these cats are generally robust and their temperament is relaxed and friendly.
I am always happy to chat about the cats if you would like to ring or email me. Please see below for contact details.
